Good news for tourists: Iran to extend airport visa validity to ’90 days !
Iran has increased its visa on arrival extension from 1 month to 3 months.
Holders of normal passports traveling as tourist can obtain a visa on arrival at the following airports:
Konarak Airport (Chah-Bahar)
Isfahan International Airport (Isfahan)
Kish International Airport (Kish Island)
Mashhad International Airport (Mashad)
Dayrestan Airport (Qeshm Island)
Shiraz International Airport (Shiraz)
Tabriz International Airport (Tabriz)
Imam Khomeini International Airport (Tehran)
This Facility is not applicable to nationals of: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Canada, Colombia, India, Iraq, Jordan, Pakistan, Somalia, United Kingdom and United States
These nationalities are required to apply for an Iranian visa at an Iranian embassy/consulate prior to their arrival in Iran.
British, Canadian and American citizens are also required to be escorted by a government approved guide at all times. Independent travel for these citizens has been banned due to the closure of Iranian foreign missions in these countries.
Admission is refused to holders of passports or travel documents containing a visa/stamp for Israel or any data that passenger has been to Israel or indication of any connection with the State of Israel.
Kish island: All tourists may stay in Kish Island for 14 days or less without obtaining any visa
